It's like a fight gone bad

Twenty-four Seattle-area CrossFitters gathered to throw down at CrossFit Eastside for the Wounded Warrior Project and Athletes for a Cure annual fundraiser, FGB III.

Big thanks to all who participated, donated, spectated, supported, and hung out for some post-exertion feasting and relaxing.

The newest batch of shirts is in! We have the new CrossFit Eastside original "100 is the new 60" design, as well as the third generation of the CFES classic "Get Some Go Again." Tees, long-sleeves, hoodies (brr!), and, for the lay-dees, tank tops.

If you ordered some and haven't picked them up yet, they await you here in the gym. If you didn't order and want some, come and get 'em!

FGB, baby!

It's that time of year again! Time, that is, for the annual CrossFit-affiliate-wide Fight Gone Bad event and fundraiser to raise money for prostate cancer research and for the Wounded Warrior Project.

Fight Gone Bad is a classic CrossFit workout consisting of five exercises (row, wall ball, sumo deadlift high pull, box jump, push press) performed for one-minute intervals each. Rest for one-minute, and then repeat for a total of three rounds. Calculate your score by adding up the number of reps of each exercise completed.

All CrossFitters are welcome to participate. There are four categories you can enter in, with weights scaled to accommodate all abilities. You just need to register online before September 24 to be on the CFES team.

Just the facts:

-When: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008
-Where: CrossFit Eastside (and hundreds of participating affiliates throughout the world)
-How: Register by 9/24/08, and collect pledges
